CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at approximately 1:32 p.m. by Chair Chris Whitney.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES/MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS

Approval of meeting minutes from February 18, 2026

MOTION: George Gerstle MOVED that the Boulder County Planning Commission APPROVE the meeting minutes from February 18, 2026.
SECOND: Bobby Umstead
VOTE: Motion PASSED {5:0}

STAFF UPDATES

Kim Sanchez, Deputy Director of Planning, provided an update regarding upcoming changes to be made to the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan, as required by law. Staff will provide a presentation on the Strategic Growth Element and Water Supply Element in April. 

Kim also announced that Heather Morgan will be moving into a different position within Boulder County this month.

5.1

Docket BVCP-25-0001: Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan Major Update

Hannah Hippely, Long Range Planning Division Manager, presented an overview of the draft Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan. She was joined by Kristofer Johnson and Brad Mueller with the City of Boulder. A discussion followed the presentation and Planning Commissioners asked questions and provided comments on the draft plan.

Rita Manna departed the meeting at approximately 2:34 p.m.
