The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:02pm.

Approval of Meeting Minutes from February 5, 2026

MOTION: Kathy Koehler MOVED that the Boulder County Historic Preservation Advisory Board APPROVE the minutes from February 5, 2026 as written.
SECOND: David Hawes MOVED that the minutes include an amendment to the Other Business section from the February 5, 2026 meeting.

BUILDING PERMIT REVIEWS FOR STRUCTURES 50 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER

 

None.

HP-26-0001: Shelly's Cottages

 

MOTION: Buffy Andrews MOVED the Historic Preservation Advisory Board DETERMINE that the property is eligible for landmark status under Criteria 1 and 4.
SECOND: Kathy Koehler VOTE (Historical Designation): Motion PASSED {8:0}

HP-26-0002: Amendment to Shannon Farm

 

MOTION: David Hawes MOVED the Historic Preservation Advisory Board DETERMINE that the four structures on the farm property are eligible for landmark status. 
SECOND: Rachel Gart VOTE (Historical Designation): Motion PASSED {8:0}

7.
OTHER BUSINESS

 

Jessica McKinnon, Planner made the announcement that Rachel Gart and David Hawes were both approved to be on the Historic Preservation Advisory Board for another term. Jessica also stated that the next Historic Preservation Advisory Board meeting will include the election of officers. 

David Hawes checked in on the status of the Square Nail nomination for Denise Grimm, Principal Planner. Jessica McKinnon, Planner informed the board that she does have current and prior Historic Preservation Advisory Board members assisting with the nomination and is working with Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting staff to obtain more accomplishments from her work with the county. Kathy Koehler stated that the nomination will go before the Heritage roundtable meeting on March 19, 2026.
