CALL TO ORDER

 

The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:03 p.m. by Denise Grimm, Principal Planner.

Board member Elizabeth Gehring was in attendance for parts of the meeting and not the entirety.

MOTION: Caitlin McKenna MOVED that the Boulder County Historic Preservation Advisory Board APPROVE the minutes from November 7, 2024 as written.

BUILDING PERMIT REVIEWS FOR STRUCTURES 50 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER

6.1
Discussion regarding preservation plans

 

Denise Grimm, Principal Planner announced that the Historic Preservation Advisory Board has received funds to use in the Preservation Plan and outlined that the work will be concentrated towards the Latinx context of the Preservation Plan. The focused approach to this context is not opposed by any of the board members and the board members also agree this proposal is the best option to choose for the time frame which the funds must be used by. The board discussed options and opinions to best carry out this context.

Election of Officers

 

MOTION: Caitlin McKenna nominated Self for Chair of the Historical Preservation Board. 
SECOND: George Schusler 

MOTION: David Hawes nominated Self for Vice-Chair of the Historical Preservation Board. 
SECOND: George Schusler

MOTION: Denise Grimm moved to create one vote to complete nominations. 
VOTE: Motion PASSED {8:0}

The Board discussed the Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month Awards Ceremony on May 12, 2025 and asked if the new Chair would like to present at the ceremony.
