Jessica McKinnon, Planner introduced Sharla Benjamin ,Engineer, Boulder County Parks and Open Space, and Kit Carson, Managing Consultant with Ramboll who explained the flood protection project in more detail to the Historic Preservation Advisory Board Members. PUBLIC HEARING OPENEDPUBLIC HEARING CLOSED MOTION: Caitlin McKenna MOVED the Historic Preservation Advisory Board APPROVE the Certificate of Appropriateness CA-26-0002. SECOND: Buffy Andrews VOTE (Certificate of Appropriateness): Motion PASSED {7:0}7.OTHER BUSINESS Jessica McKinnon, Planner, introduced Hannah Hippely, Long-Range Planning Division Manager for Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting. Jessica McKinnon will be reporting to Hannah Hippely as a new manager since the retirement of Denise Grimm, Principal Planner. Historic Preservation Advisory Board Member David Hawes, Vice Chair spoke about the LatinX Project presentations which he attended at the end of 2025. David Hawes also mentioned there is a Traquero exhibit at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado. David Hawes is interested in gathering information if Traquero had a role in the extensions of the Switzerland Trail and the construction of Barker Dam. Elisabeth Ríos-Brooks followed up the Traquero exhibit history and gave a quick update on the LatinX Project as well with details from her department Boulder County Parks & Open Space. Jessica McKinnon, Planner, gave a staff update and asked if one of the board members would give a nomination to Denise Grimm for the Square Nail Award for Preservation Month. The Land Use Code cleanups that the Historic Preservation Advisory Board approved in December were brought to the Board of County Commissioners were approved and will move forward. 8.ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:28pm.
