CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at approximately 1:34 p.m. by Chair Gavin McMillan.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES/MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS

Approval of Meeting Minutes for December 20, 2023

MOTION: Ann Goldfarb MOVED that the Boulder County Planning Commission APPROVE the meeting minutes from December 20, 2023. SECOND: Mark Bloomfield VOTE: Motion PASSED {6:0}

STAFF UPDATES

Kim Sanchez, Deputy Director of Planning, stated that the Annual Planning Commission Dinner will be held after the February Planning Commission Meeting. She also announced that the February Planning Commission Meeting will be Commissioner and 2nd Vice Chair Dave Hsu's last meeting, and thanked him for his time and dedication to serving on the Planning Commission.

Docket SU-21-0004: Malcolm-Peck Reception Hall [TABLED INDEFINITELY]

5.2

Docket Z-23-0001: Zoning Map Amendments to the Floodplain Overlay District

Kelly Watson, Principal Floodplain Planner, presented the application for Amendments to the Boulder County Floodplain and Floodway based on FEMA’s Physical Map Revision reflecting the Colorado Hazard Mapping Program (CHAMP) study.

PUBLIC HEARING OPENED

SPEAKERS: Terri Fead - Colorado Water Conservation Board, Daniel Rubin - Boulder, CO (pooled with Robyn Kube), Suzanne Pope - Longmont, CO 

PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED

MOTION: George Gerstle MOVED that the Boulder County Planning Commission APPROVE and recommend to the Board of County Commissioners APPROVAL of Docket Z-23-0001: Zoning Map Amendments to the Floodplain Overlay District.  
SECOND: Mark Bloomfield
VOTE: Motion PASSED {6:0}
