All commissioners’ public hearings and meetings will now be offered in a hybrid format where attendees can join through Zoom or in-person at the Boulder County Courthouse, 3rd Floor, 1325 Pearl Street, Boulder. -- Contract for legal services for United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development (USDA-RD) loans – specifically Casa de la Esperanza. Butler Snow, LLP was selected based on their expertise with USDA-RD loans. No other law firms were identified that have experience with USDA-RD loans and can also assist with the needed waivers. The needed services relate to regulatory filings and government relations.

-- BCHA Resolution 2023-03: Approving the submission of the Affordable Housing Development Incentives Grant Program Application.

-- Resolution 2023-009, conditionally approving Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting Docket DC-22-0002:  Proposed Land Use Code Text Amendments to 4-516.K Accessory Solar Energy System.

-- Appointment of a Boulder Representative to the Science Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) Board of Directors.

-- Contract for out-of-home placement services with R.I.S.E. Corp for BCDHHS Family and Children Services clients.  R.I.S.E. Corp recently switched to a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) and this placement fills an important gap in our placement continuum.


The initial agreement to purchase Out-of-Home Services does not have a contract amount associated with it. 

-- The county participates in the Northern Front Range Recreational Shooting Management Partnership which, in part, continues exploration of suitable project properties affording enhanced recreational shooting access for county residents/visitors balanced by other community needs and concerns.  Staff is seeking approval from the Board of County Commissioners to submit this application for the Colorado Parks & Wildlife Shooting Range Development Grants Program to support ongoing planning (exploration of suitable properties, municipal partnership feasibility, etc.).  If this application is awarded, staff will return to the Board of County Commissioners for further action on proposed inter-agency agreements.

The commissioners held an Executive Session for Legal Advice on Wednesday, January 25th for a briefing on current cases in litigation.
