The Boulder County Cultural Council is seeking formal approval for an amendment to its By-Laws. These By-Laws were last revised in 2016, and the current update aims to reflect recent changes and advancements. This request is made to ensure that the Council's operations remain aligned with its current practices and objectives.

Resolution 2024-012, conditionally approving Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting Docket V-23-0001/EP-23-0003: Boulder County Public Works Easement Vacation

Each year Boulder County Sheriff's Office applies for the Peace Officers Mental Health Grant through the State of Colorado. This grant helps to fund costs for mental wellness programs for the BCSO staff and their families.  

The public hearing for the East Boulder Creek Management Plan for Prairie Run Open Space has been continued to Thursday, March 28 at 9 a.m. from January 25. The commissioners have provided staff with further instructions. No decision has been made at this time. The video of the January 25th public hearing can be viewed through the county's Open Meeting Portal. 

Ratification of Commissioner Stolzmann's signature for the 2023 Annual Mill Levies and Revenue Report sent to the Colorado Division of Local Government and the Colorado Division of Property Taxation.

Requesting approval for Docket DC-23-0001, encompassing Text Amendments to the Land Use Code related to Short-Term Dwelling and Vacation Rentals, along with Licensing Ordinance 2023-02: An Ordinance presented by the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Boulder, addressing the Licensing of Short-Term Dwelling Rentals and Vacation Rentals within the Unincorporated Area of Boulder County.


Staff has identified two items requiring clarification, and the Board of County Commissioners is requested to approve these changes and the amendments to the Licensing Ordinance, as made by the Board of County Commissioners on January 9, 2024.

Susie Strife, Office of Sustainability and Resiliency Director, is requesting a new 1.0 grant funded Sustainability Specialist I (SS1) position. The City of Boulder and Boulder County have partnered on the EnergySmart residential energy advising service since 2010. While the city has long contributed rebate funding to EnergySmart, they have never supported additional advising staff capacity, until now. The City of Boulder is offering long term, annually renewing funding to OSCAR for an additional bilingual preferred Residential Energy Advisor (SS1) to focus on clients within the City of Boulder.


Human Resources has approved the classification. Bridgette McCarthy, Grants Accounting Supervisor, with the Office of Financial Management has verified the funding. Board of Commissioners’ approval is needed for this request.

Reading of this proclamation for Black History Month to honor the lasting impact of Black Americans on American democracy. The proclamation recognizes their historical struggles for freedom, equal treatment, and voting rights, as well as their role in reforming the nation. It also supports NAACP events, the designation of a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Highway, and the Museum of Boulder's efforts to preserve Black history. The proclamation calls for inclusive, anti-racist policies and encourages residents to engage in celebrating Black history and working towards a more inclusive Boulder County.

Board of County Commissioner’s call-up of Director’s Determination of SPR-23-0093 for construction of a 3,000-square-foot residence with a 587-square-foot attached garage and 625 square feet of covered porches, a 960-square-foot detached garage, and two 120-square-foot sheds on an approximately 88.2-acre vacant parcel where the size presumed to be compatible with the neighborhood is 2,500 square feet. The application was submitted by Jesse Dow & Vicki McVey (applicants/property owners). Property is in the Forestry (F) zoning district at 48733 Peak to Peak Highway, in Section 17, Township 2N, Range 72W.
